School Council
Southview has a vocal and active school council consisting of representatives from middle school and College. These members are democratically elected via an election, in which they need to campaign and explain to the school their strengths, and why they would make a good representative of the school. Voting is open to students and staff from the upper phase of the school, and their term of office is two years.
The school council meets once a month to discuss fundraising ideas and any problems that may have been raised by their classmates. Older students may be involved in showing visitors round the school, helping with younger classes, and talking with Governors and staff.
It is a privilege to serve on the School Council, and one which our students take very seriously.
